Comforting Sounds

It hangs off me with pristine

Hiding my Achilles Heal 

Spurring the agility of a warrior,

Yet the serenity of a swan's solo.

Two sizes too big

eradicating the narrowed vantage from my sight.

Another world -

Made up of light strokes of soft pink like the novelty of a new world

juxtaposed by bold red-orange marks

creating a foreground of etiquette.

It runs away from conventions,

taking me down, down, down the rabbit's hole

where the purity of comforting brown

creates comforting sounds.

At ease,

Barefoot and wild

Finally at peace.
