Essie nail polish: The perfect square bottle with rounded edges containing nothing else but MAGIC. Seriously.
Downfall? An $8 retail price.
When I walk the beauty corridors of Target, I always stop and admire the rows and rows of Essie nail polish, especially the endless not-just-another shade of blue polish selection. I pick one up just to find it connect with the palm of my hand perfectly. Okay, so I'm being dramatic! But it's Essie, for sheesh sake.
So...when I went to Target with my lovely mom, I found myself telling her all about London Butter and Essie nail polishes and about Ingrid and her Missglamorazzi YouTube Channel where she uploaded a video with her closet shoe storage bag filled with endless colors of nail polish.
Here's her video, if interested in watching (if not, skip over the video)!

After my mom watched me touch all the Essie nail polishes, she kindly offered to buy me one. I was ecstatic. But I declined. Although me purchasing the product for eight bucks would help the company, it really would do no good for my economic state.
Days later my mom told me that Marshall's had some Essie products for $4...in Arcadia, Arizona. The store is located on 24 street, off Camelback once on Route 51. I live on 91st Avenue, which is pretty far off from this location. I had at least 1/4 of gas and all that was in mind was the $100 replacement retainer I have to buy (I grind my teeth, so I need a new one). Thankfully, my sister drove us out there.
Once I walked into Marshall's, I had to do everything in my will to not go into the boot section and walked up to the cashiers, probably confusing the people in line, and started sorting through the limited selection of Essie colors the store has in several baskets.
I am now a proud owner of Absolutely Shore, Your Hut or Mine, Glamour Purse and Very Structured!
Also, check out this video of Essie herself making a NYLON Pink nail polish:
P.s. I love the Absolutely Shore, especially for the name. Gonna wear it when I'm about to do something daring!
