I am going to try my very best to express to you, our dear reader, what this outfit(s) reminds me of and how happy it makes me feel.
Remember when your mom or dad or guardian chose what you would wear as a child? Well, the best thing about this outfit happened when my mom asked me, “Do you like your dress and vest?” Me: “Of course!” Mom: “And I chose them… [GRIN]” (That conversation has been translated from Spanish to English.)
I was able to pair essential parts of my outfit to create two different, yet very similar looks. Both looks remind me so much…SO MUCH…of Footloose, the ’84 version. It could be the denim vest that makes me feel like I’m back in Utah or any rural state. Needless to say, I recently watched the ’84 film, which I think its intention is to instill the notion of freedom (through dancing) but indeed made me think of the idea of feeling sexy (GASP!).
At 3:48 AM after the movie was over, I began to twirl in my living room and thought to myself that films in which the dénouements deal with none other than revolutions can really serve justice to the self-esteem.
Thus, I felt downright sexy at the 3 in the morning. The point is that clothes aren't just a medium of art, but they’re a medium of justice, serving to depict your emotions and your thoughts. We must allow our clothes to take a mind of their own and lead our conscious into who we want to be at the moment and who we want to become. Most importantly though our clothes should be able to sing while annihilating our difficulties a verse at a time.
