So this past weekend was Noemi's and my high school Homecoming which provided the perfect opportunity to dig through my lovely collection of tights/nylons because nights are getting kind of chilly over here. I went with black polkadots, which I found on clearance at the end of last season and unfortunately ripped that night-- I'll get more into this in a bit--, and black stockings. Aside from that, the rest of my outfit was pretty simple: denim shirt y'all have already seen, black skirt, and silver flats as my "statement piece". I suppose you can also count my wallet as part of the outfit. Actually, I think I intentionally only carried my wallet that night; it's just so girly and cute to me. I intended to top it all off with a pleather jacket, but I forgot it in my mother's car.
Before the game, though, I attended my cousin's wedding. It was a nice little ceremony which provided the perfect opportunity to dig through my lovely collection of party dresses. I chose a pink lacey one I'd only previously worn to my Senior Banquet mostly because I think in spur of the moment, I spent $40 (more than my prom and graduation dresses combined!). I paired it with a small pearl bracelet and simple black heels.
In between the two events, I pulled the most magnificent wardrobe change in the car. Clothes complete with eye makeup. It all went well except for when I tried pulling up my tights some more once I was off the car. Fortunately, the stockings covered up most of the damage. Regardless, I consider this an accomplishment I will probably brag about for months.
With love, Gabee.
P.S. Funny story. Kind of. Maybe... I have REALLY bad vision, so I wear glasses. I always take them off to take pictures, though, and when Noemi took these pictures of me at the game, it was no different. Anyway, after she was done taking them, she asked "How are you not awkward taking pictures in front of all these people?"--or something along those lines. (Despite our intended careers, we're both pretty much socially awkward) My answer: "Well, I couldn't see anything, sooo..." Just thought I'd share this with you all.
