Good Ole Lauren Conrad

Like many, I fell in love with the phenomenal, ever so fashionable Lauren Conrad back in her Laguna Beach days. Recently, I discovered two of her current works of art (okay, now, I'm just exaggerating): her blog--The Beauty Department-- and the LC Collection for Kohl's.

My favorite part of her collection is how simple and girly it is. Honestly, she has revamped my love for pink through her clothes-- my closet now consists of three LC items two of which are a salmon/light pink (or according to the tag, "light orange).
The first is this pleated skirt. It was on sale for $20, and although typically I'd say no to anything above $15ish, this was well worth every penny. If worn at the waist, it goes just above the knee. If worn a little lower, well, it falls just below the knee. Definitely a must have in any wardrobe-- especially if you like to twirl like a maniac in your spare time like I do.
I also like the quality of the clothes. It's all very lightweight and comfortable, but I'm not terrified of throwing it in the wash in fear of it being ruined.
Then there's the top $10.80. It has a silky front and a soft back. It fits loosely which gives it potential to be worn in multiple ways.
I wore it for the first time yesterday and paired it simply with jeans and more elaborate necklace. I can see myself dressing it up differently, though.

Skirt: LC for Kohl's $20
Lace Cardigan: Abbey Dawn (Gift)
White Cami: Mom's
Belt: Kohl's $1.98
Necklace: Target $3.98
Shoes: Payless $2.50
Pink Shirt: LC for Kohl's $10.80

With love, Gabee.
